Caroline had her first day of Two Year Old Preschool at Parkway Preschool today. She will attend Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
Caroline held tightly to luvie and paci while we went out the door. So far so good. At this point she was still very excited!
"Let's go school Mom!"
We stopped by Weezie's to drop of Katy Bug and show her our backpack! Caroline was so proud and insisted on holding her backpack all the way to school.
Daddy met us in the school parking lot and walked us into school.
Here is the big girl walking into her classroom to meet all her classmates.
With her backpack still on, she darted for the corner with the baby dolls! (Still smiling at this point.)
Here we are with Caroline's sweet teacher, Mrs. Penny. She also has a great teacher named Mrs. Shannon, but she was outside greeting. It was so weird to be the mom in the picture rather than the teacher!!! Notice Caroline's face....she started getting hesitant at this point.
Squeezing in one more picture with Daddy before she started to realize we weren't staying.
Then once she was distracted by some sweet friends, Thomas and Calli Ann, we slipped out the door. Unfortunately, she noticed, and the tears started. Thank goodness for Chris and some dear friends who reminded me that going to school will be a blessing for Caroline.
Here she is after school with her first art project. And even though she is still unsure about the whole school thing, she was so excited to show it off, which was positive! So now we await our second day by talking about how much fun school will be on Thursday! Let's hope Caroline will think so too!
Here are the funniest comments she made when we were recapping her day:
Me: Caroline, what was your favorite part of the day?
Caroline: Calli Ann and mini muffins (their snack today)
The girl loves her snacks!
Me: What else did you do today?
Caroline: Mrs. Penny change my diaper.
Ha! I was waiting for her to say "we played outside."
I still can't believe Caroline has started school already. The time has flown!
