A Great Day and "IN" to Everything!

Caroline had a wonderful day celebrating her 1st birthday. We visited Daddy at work, went to lunch with Weezie (who stole Caroline's heart with a few sips of her diet coke), took 2 walks in her new car, got to eat lots of french fries for dinner, and opened some presents. A perfect day in the eyes of a one year old!

100% girl...loves gifts in small boxes!

We have also learned how to get "in" all the cabinets and drawers in our house. Even places we can't quite fit through anymore.

Still a Family of Three!

We have had a great weekend and I'm feeling good. Yesterday, we went to Paw's Cow Sale. Chris had a great time showing Caroline all the cows, getting her to pet them, and introducing her to lots of family friends (whom probably think I'm crazy, since I was this huge at the Cow Sale last year...haha). Since this was such a huge part of Chris' life when younger, he was so proud to take Caroline to her 1st sale.

And speaking of cows. We have a tunnel that looks like a cow and Caroline and Chris have been playing tag through it all weekend. Fortunately for Caroline, Daddy gets stuck about half way through and she is able to make a clean getaway!

Also, we LOVE our kitchen set! Thank you for Grandma and Grandpa...I think we have a Betty Crocker on our hands! She has spent hours "cooking"!

Irish Twins??

Have you ever heard of "Irish Twins"? I hadn't until recently. According to Wikipedia, "Irish twins" is a slang term for siblings who are not actually twins, but rather, were born less than 12 months apart; possibly in the same calendar year and/or school year. What do you think? Will Caroline and Baby #2 be Irish Twins? Caroline's official birthday is next Monday, March 3oth. Yesterday, at my doctor's appointment, I measured 4 cm. and 75%. However, I technically have 11 more days with a due date of April 6th. Place your vote on the side bar!

Luckily, this is the face of a girl that has no clue what is going on. :)

1st Birthday!

We celebrated Caroline's 1st birthday with family this weekend, so we could make sure she had her special day before baby brother or sister arrives. Her actual birthday is next Monday and we feel extremely blessed to have had her as our daughter for a year now!

Thank you to the whole family for celebrating with us, and a special thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for driving a long way to be here (especially since they'll be turning around soon to be here again)!

1st Haircut

Caroline had her first haircut on Friday. She did great! We kept all the curls, but said "bye bye" to the scraggly tails.

Top Five Reasons Caroline Loves Aunt Kara and Leighton!

Last week, Aunt Kara and Leighton came in town to visit. Caroline LOVES it when they come. And here are the reasons why.

1. CRAZY HAIR-DO'S!!!

2. All the M&M's she wants to eat!

3. Seeing who can squeal the loudest. (Aunt Kara thought it would be funny to teach Caroline how to squeal at the top of her lungs, so now...whether Caroline is frustrated or not...she crawls around squealing).

4. Fun new tricks that drive Mommy crazy. (Aunt Kara taught Caroline to crawl up to the gate blocking the stairs, shake the bars, and attempt to say, "Let Me Out". Granted she can't say the words, but she grunts the syllables.)

5. Cell Phones and Constant Attention. Caroline got to play with one of their cell phones the whole time they were here. All day Saturday, Caroline looked around wondering where all the fun people went because they played with her from sun up to sun down. Come back soon Aunt Kara and Leighton!

So Cute!!!!

Look what showed up on my door step yesterday! The cutest birthday hat and "Big Sister" shirt I have ever seen. The talented person behind these adorable things is Jennie-Marie McMaster. I had seen these birthday hats on her blog and asked her if she would mind making one for Caroline's big day! And as a surprise she sent Caroline this shirt for her other big day...becoming a big sister!! THANK YOU Jennie Marie!!!

You all need to visit her Esty site: www.mommysfun.esty.com and see all the other cute stuff she makes. She can even match the colors you are using for your little one's birthday. She is very talented!!

Snow in Auburn!

I have come to admire my mom even more after today's snow and we didn't get near as much as they do in Rochester, Minnesota. When we lived there, she would bundle up all three of us (mittens, hats, snow boots, long johns, etc.), EVERYDAY, for 6 months out of the year. My brother, sister and I are so close in age too...three under the age of three. I can kind of remember her pushing one cart and pulling the other while in the grocery store. Us and our snow gear in one and the groceries in the other. Love you Mom!!!

Daddy and Me throwing snowballs at Mommy! (Don't worry Grandma, I did put a jacket and shoes on shortly after this picture was taken.)
