Two words....BEACH and BUMS. For a whole week, all we did was play on the beach, eat, play lots of card games and Scategories, eat lots of shrimp, watch movies, go out to eat, catch sand fleas, eat some more, and swim. Plus, Weezie's WHOLE side of the family was there this year (all 14 of us), which made it even more fun!
Grammer taught Caroline how to drink the melted ice cream left in her bowl. Hence, Grammer is now on Caroline's "most favorite people" list.

One morning we attempted to take the girls to the Gulfarium. And although Kate wasn't very interested at first (above picture), we ended up watching BITS AND PIECES of the Dolphin Show, Sea Lion Show, and Pelican Show (emphasis on the words bits and pieces). See below picture.

This picture explains it all. It's like she is looking up at the sign saying, "What does this say Mommy?" So....while one of us watched the shows with Caroline, the other one of us chased after Kate.

And afterward we went to the Crab Trap for lunch where they give all kids a free bucket and shovel! I was amazed at how a bucket and shovel was more entertaining to a 1yr old than dolphins doing flips out of the water and sea lions diving off platforms. Ha! Oh well, we'll try the Gulfarium again next year.
Mickey Mouse Club House (the girls' newest favorite) provided us with some quiet time before dinner.
And one day, we went to Sea Side to stroll around. We ate lunch at Pickles...
and then grabbed some ice cream.
Which Kate barely finished before she fell asleep on the way back to the house.
It was a fun packed, eventful week!
Thanks Grammer and Cec. We look forward to next summer.
