Christmas

Christmas Pancakes on the grill on Christmas Eve Day.

The finished product! Thanks PaPa!

Coming down the stairs to see if Santa came! We always wait at the top of the stairs until my Dad (PaPa) calls us down. Then we walk down the stairs stating our age, and the current year. We have every year on camera since I was little and now the girls do too!

Here comes Uncle Matt!

Our very own "Santa" arrived too!

And like usual, Caroline wasn't a fan until "Santa" took off his beard and she realized it was really Uncle Tony. Kate, however, was a huge fan of Santa Tony!!
We are thankful to the REAL Santa for all the goodies though starting with the stocking stuffers!!!

Great Grandma Betty is finishing up Kate's Stocking. I need to take up knitting, so I can carry on the tradition...maybe that should be a resolution for 2010!

Opening Stockings!

Kate was more interested in eating the paper and bows!

Caroline and Kate got a Medical Kit from Aunt RaRa and Uncle Tony, so they can pretend to be just like Aunt RaRa!

Filling her grocery cart will anything and everything she can find!

Even her baby sister!

Getting her first real baby doll!

Then we were off to celebrate with the Williams' side. We went to Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Williams' house for presents and then to dinner. It was so good to see our cousins from Chicago!

And then today (the 27th) we are celebrating GaGa's birthday! Happy Birthday Mom!
We love you very very much!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Christmas Casualties 2009

Caroline's curiosity was very minimal last year when it came to the Christmas Tree, ornaments, and our Snow Village; however, this year, that curiousity grew. These are the "Casualties of Christmas 2009". Luckily our Daddy, with the help from some super glue, saved all these treasures for yet another Christmas!

Chris was able to do some quick knee surgery on these two Village Shoppers! :)

Daddy's Out House took a tumble. Chris and I always give each other a piece of the Snow Village that represents something special that happened that year (ie: wedding chapel, baby being pushed in a baby carrier...), or just something funny that reminds us of each other (BBQ Pit, the Out House...). Ha!

And this little lamb (part of our nativity) lost her ear. Unfortunately, it was never found. Caroline dropped it, and came running toward us saying, "Uh-Oh...Bahh, Bahh"!

Playing with "anta" and "ights"!

Caroline has carried this Santa around everyday since he was set out. Here she is introducing him to Kate.

Caroline explaining to Kate that she is the only one that can hold "Anta"! Ha!
Sharing around here is a major work in progress!

We hope your Christmas is Merry and Bright!

Pizza and Presents

Last night, we celebrated Christmas at Grandaddy and Weezie's house. We always eat pizza and then open presents. Check out the faces on Caroline and Kate below...beyond excited!!!

Caroline and Kate received a Hide and Slide! It was already put together and waiting for them downstairs, so they had no idea. I wish you all could have seen how quickly Caroline squirmed out of Weezie's arms when she spotted it!

Look at that face! She has no clue what is in the box, but she is beyond excited! Caroline would have been thrilled with an empty box under that wrapping paper. Although check out their faces when they realized there was something inside.

They rocked and rocked and rocked. And we're still rocking!

My favorite Sister-in-Law! :) And now we can be twinkies! Thank you Sarah!

And no Christmas would be complete if Chris and Sarah didn't bulid their Gingerbread House!
If you know me well, I love traditions! And so watching them make this house every year gives me so much JOY! In fact, I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about Christmas! I love searching or making the perfect gift. I love watching my family and friends open those gifts. I love all the food, the crafts, the decorating, and Christmas music! I love checking the mailbox for Christmas cards. I love standing at the top of the stairs and coming down in my p.j.'s, while my Dad is video taping and asking us what year it is. (Yes, I am 28 and I still do this and will do it again this year while carrying the girls down with me. I can't wait!!!) And most importantly, I love any extra excuse to be around family and celebrating the real reason for the season...Christ's Birth!

Mrs. Claus and Her Friends

Today, we went to watch Aunt Sarah play Mrs. Claus in the Dean Road Christmas Program. In our opinion, she is the cutest and prettiest Mrs. Claus in Auburn, Alabama!!! Great job Sarah!

Aunt Sarah's biggest fan!

Kate was totally into the play. She jumped up and down in Grandaddy's lap throughout every song. She also enjoyed chewing on the program!

Mrs. Claus and her friends Mr. Snowman (Harrison Speaks) and Ms. Reindeer (Mary Grace Sprayberry).
(This picture was posted especially for Mr. Snowman's Aunt Jennifer and his cousins William and Lauren Plaisance!)
