The Waiting Game

We are trying very hard to wait patiently for the arrival of Baby Northcutt #3, but we're so excited! At 39 weeks, we are hoping to meet Molly or Carter very soon. Until then, we will enjoy our family of four and try to rest as much as possible.
Will the newest Northcutt be Molly Jones Northcutt or Carter Van Northcutt?
The name "Molly" can be found distantly on both sides, but its been a favorite of mine for a long time. The name "Jones" is extra special because it comes from my side of the family- my mom and dad's sides. My Grandfather's name is Hugh Jones Williams, my father's name is Hugh Jones Williams, jr. and my brother's name is Matthew Jones Williams.  On my mom's side, "Jones" comes from my grandfather as well: Robert Philip Jones, making Jones my mother's maiden name - Debra Jones Williams.  It's a very special name!
The name "Carter" comes from my side of the family. Lillian Dodds Carter was my great-grandmother. And the name "Van" comes from many special people on Chris' side: Dewey Van Buren Northcutt (his grandfather), Dewey Van Buren Northcutt, jr (his dad), and his name of course- Christopher Van Northcutt.
Place your last minute votes if you haven't already!
We have been getting out baby's things: the car seat carrier, bassinet, swing, etc and Kate has been making sure they are all broken in and ready. It's hard to imagine she use to fit in that carrier. Caroline has been using all of the above to house all her baby dolls. We got them out a little early in hopes that the girls would become disinterested in them by the time baby comes home. Caroline was so little when we brought Kate home, so all these "toys" are new to her too. We'll see.
Our sweet Daddy has been doing lots of extra entertaining on the weekend, so that I can get last minute things done around the house (aka nesting). From tractor rides, trips to see the cows at the barn, and some extra cuddle time in Mommy and Daddy's bed.
Hopefully the next post will be a big picture of our newest addition!!!!

#1

This post is very late, but I sill wanted to post it for our out of town family to see (especially Uncle Tony and Uncle Matt). Here are pictures from our girls weekend at home while our Daddy went to Glendale to cheer on our Auburn Tigers!

GaGa came to rescue Mommy see us! And since the girls were sleeping at the game's end, and only Mommy got to go to Toomer's Corner, we all headed downtown the next day to see all the toilet paper and eat lunch.

And no trip downtown would be complete to the girls if we don't stop to get hugs from Pitty Pat at J&M Bookstore. We got half way out the door and Caroline had to run back and give Pitty one more smooch!

After a long trip of "planes, trains and automobiles", our Daddy made it back home. Caroline hadn't fallen asleep yet for her nap, so Daddy had to snag a hug and kiss. She was SO excited to see him.
Everyday since Chris has gotten home, Kate asks him if he rode on a plane to get home from work that day. She thinks he rides on planes every where he goes now. :)

Christmas 2010

Caroline and Daddy's gingerbread house.
We celebrated Christmas with Weezie and Grandaddy and got a big surprise!

They got their very own Barbie Jeep and have been riding it ever since!
Daddy and Grandaddy even put a Northcutt Realty tag on the front!
To say the girls were excited would be an understatement. Look at the hugs Caroline was giving out in thanks!

Every year the Auburn cousins draw names for gift giving. This year, Caroline received a dress up trunk from one of the Chase cousins. She loves it...high heels especially!
Then it was home to make cookies for Santa.

And celebrate Jesus' birthday. Thank you for our star cake GG!
Enjoying some birthday cake and milk. A good sugar high before trying to get to excited girls to bed. Ha Ha Ha!
Placing our cookies, carrots, milk and notes for Santa by the fireplace.
The only word to describe Christmas morning is FAST! We opened our stockings in lightening speed and then it was off to the basement to see the big present Santa had left...a playhouse!

Then it was off to GaGa and PaPa's house Christmas Day afternoon.

GaGa and PaPa could have gotten away with giving Kate a box and that styrofoam popcorn and she would have been content.
But Caroline was all about anything and everything "baby doll" this year! Thank you for the new stroller Lei Lei!
And my all time favorite present (even though it was technically for my sister) was the wonderful gift Tony gave to Kara.....a plane ticket home from London when the baby is born. This is a picture of Tony showing Kara the flight voucher on his I-pad. She gets to come back to the states for a whole week once the baby is born and I am more than thrilled!!! But to give Chris some credit too....he was actually going to fly Kara home as a Christmas gift to me, and realized that Tony had had the same idea. :)
Lovin' on Malibu (my sweet dog since 10th grade). Maybe one year I'll convince Chris that the girls need a puppy for Christmas. They LOVE dogs!!!
Then we were off to GG and GG Williams' house (the great-grandparents) for gift giving.

And of course, no trip home to Ponte Vedra would be complete without a trip to the beach.

 So we went twice!!!

We just played in the sand and looked for sharks teeth, but there were actually people lying out in bathing suits this day.
And for record sake....good old St. Nick (below) was our only casualty this year. He suffered from a broken hand when Kate decided to play "baby doll" with him. Luckily, Daddy was able to make him good as new with the help from some super glue! I thought we did pretty well only having one casualty and two toddlers running loose.
Happy 2011! We look forward to bringing home a new brother or sister in 4 short weeks!
