Moooo!

This past Saturday, we went to Paw's annual cow sale. The only thing different from this year...I wasn't about to have a baby. Two years ago, we went to the cow sale and at 5am the next morning, I started feeling labor pains. Last year, we went to the cow sale, and six days later, I had Kate. This year, I got to enjoy watching Chris show his two girls about something that was such a huge part of his life.

Watching the auction with Daddy.

PaPa and Kate's 1st cow sale.

Yes, that is Kate's finger in the cow's nostril. Gross! Thanks Aunt Poppy!

Bon Voyage

A few weeks ago (sorry for the delayed post), my sister and my brother-in-law, Tony, were thrown a going away party in Atlanta by their sweet friends. Needless to say it was a very bitter sweet weekend. I am so happy for them to have this experience, but am going to miss them so much over the next two years.

We started the weekend with a family gathering at the DeGance's house.

The DeGance Family (minus a few). Only two of his brothers are pictured (one being his twin-pictured on left). Tony has one other brother, Paul and two sisters. There are 6 DeGance kids in all!
I admire Mrs. Peggy a lot!

The girls had a great time!

The next night was the actual going away party given by their friends.

Caroline gets whatever she wants from Uncle TT. If the girls wants to eat five cupcakes for dinner, so be it! Ha!

And the weekend ended with lunch on Sunday at Taco Mac. Our family loves Mexican food, so what better place to have your last meal as a family.

We hated to see you go, but know this is an opportunity that can't be passed up. We love you tons and miss you so much already! Christmas can't get here fast enough. Hopefully we'll all be over to see you soon. I think two pack-and-plays would fit nicely in your flat don't you!! Ha!

Disclaimer: I always assume that everyone who reads this is family and forget that there are a few friends out there that enjoy keeping up with our where abouts as well. For those who don't already know, Kara and Tony have been given a great oppotunity to live in London for two years. Price Waterhouse Coopers, the accounting firm that Tony works for in Atlanta, has an office in London as well, so they put in for a transfer. And Kara, who is a registered nurse, can work any where. So, before they start a family, they decided to live in Europe and travel around. Since they've been there, they have found a nice flat to live in and tried some of the local dishes. They spent their first weekend in Belgium and have already had one guest (a college roommate of Kara's) come stay with them. I'm sure they will have many guests over the next two years! They will document their time there here if you are interested.

Baking with Caroline...

looks like this.

There was a lot more taste testing than baking going on. But then again...isn't licking the spoon the best part?!?

And for those who don't bake....climb!

Tea for Two

Caroline gave Kate the blender for a cup, but as you can see, she gladly took a sip gulp.

The Lake

We can hardly wait for warm weather to stay for longer than a couple days, but we'll take what we can get.
Throwing rock after rock into the lake.

Sun Bathing.

Captain Caroline.
And Skipper (Kate) too!
