Halloween Part 2

Off to find some goodies!

When we got to the first house, Caroline was a little confused about what she was suppose to do. She stood over the basket of candy picking up one piece after another, examining each one very carefully. You could see the thoughts running through her mind..."Mom...Dad, we've hit the mother load...look at all this candy!" and "This is great. I want to live at this house!"
Well, there was definitely some whinning when we left the first house but once she realized that every house had a large basket of candy, she couldn't get to the next house fast enough.

"WHOA"

I think we'd still be out knocking on doors if it were up to Caroline.
And not to forget about Kate, who loved riding in the wagon like a big girl while chewing the handle of her candy bag.

And when we got home, Caroline still wanted to play dress up!

Halloween Part 1

Today at Baby Gym we got to wear our costumes!

Our little flower!

And our bumble bee!

Our teacher had the kids ice their own cookies with one of those paint spinners. Instead of paint, she filled a ketchup bottle (one of the generic ones you see at resturants) with orange icing and they spun out to look like a spider's web. It was a very cute idea! Caroline loved the fact that she could add sprinkles too!

The Ice Cream Man knows us by name now!
Chris thinks he just parks in front of our house now, turns on his music and waits for us to come running outside.

Another trim for Caroline! Check out the bribery...sitting in Aunt Sarah's lap and a sucker!

"Hey, what are you doing back there Mrs. Lee?"
Look at that face...haha!

My New Do!

From the Front!

From the Back! (We got rid of the scraggly ends but left the curls.)

This Week and More

This week started with a visit from the Ice Cream Man. We heard him coming down our street, so we grabbed a dollar, the camera, and ran! Didn't even have time to grab shoes (or brush our hair after our nap for that matter. ) Ha!

"Opps, I dropped some...oh well, I'l still eat it!"

On Tuesday night our Aunt Kara came to stay for a couple days. We love it when she comes!!

Caroline wants to be like Aunt Kara when she grows up!
(Walking through the house with Kara's purse, wearing her necklace, and pretending to talk on her cell phone. I love how the purse is half her size. She fell over several times lugging that thing around.)

On Wednesday, we went to Baby Gym where Kate has started to get in on the fun!

Caroline's favorites still...the bubbles and parachute!

Pushing Sissy in the car!

Come back Aunt Kara! We miss you already!

Funny Faces

Kate is always sucking in her lips!

Or sticking out her tongue.

But my favorite is her fish face!
It makes me laugh every time.

Carrots and Coloring

We have moved on to another vegetable...carrots!

Good thing Caroline wants to "cor" (color) all day long. It's gotten us through three days of rain!

Picking Pumpkins

At first, Caroline was more interested in the rocks around the pumpkins!

Then she ran around touching EVERY pumpkin saying, "Ball!"

Kate enjoyed herself too!

It's hard to believe that Caroline was this size last year when we picked out pumpkins.

And that Kate will be this size when we pick them out next year!

QUEEN OF THE PUMPKINS!

Miller Mastin

Thank you for coming to visit us Miller.
Love, Caroline and Kate

Food

Kate turned 6 months old on Monday and we celebrated with her first taste of baby food...PEAS! Don't you wish you could celebrate every milestone with some yucky yummy peas!
P.S. I bought Kate's Baby food (one 12 pk of vegetables and one 12pk of fruit), along the jumbo size cases of diapers, and formula from http://www.diapers.com/. It all came in three days and was free of shipping charges. The prices were great, plus I received $5 off my total for becoming a new member and a $5 off coupon for my next purchase. Now, everytime I go to the site, they have a "quick shop list" of all the baby stuff I buy on a typical grocery store run posted on the home screen. And if you're like me, I don't have room in the cart for my "other" groceries after I load 2 cases of diapers, a week of baby food, cans of formula, and a case of wipes (espescially when I have the girls in the buggy too). Anyways...it helps me a lot! Hope it helps you too!

Kate's new favorite toy....Thank you GG and A!
(Beckwith, I promise I'll make it all shiney and new again for you. Love, Kate)

And on another note (but also about food), Emily Cumbie just sent me a website she found that would be very helpful in planning meals for a family. (Thank You, Thank You Emily!) The site is called: Take Them A Meal (link below). You just plug in the family's name and the starting and ending dates for when they need meals (specifying certain days of the week if desired). It creates the caledar for you and everyone can just log in using the family's last name and a password that an "organizer" creates for each specific family. How simple is that!!!! No sense in "reinventing the wheel" when it's already done for you...right??? Enjoy!!
